What is your ABSOLUTE favorite kind of music?! You can only choose one. I like the singer songwriter guitar music the best! I've decided.

What is your dream job?I'd love to start a PR or Ad agency! with my sister, Julia, because we both are design/communications FREAKS.

Also, Someday, when I'm all kinds of knowledgeable, it would be dream-job-like to write a book and go on a book tour. How glamorous would that be? :) It would be a nonfiction advice/inspirational book for sho.

Do you have an absolute favorite book? My two favorites are The Hunger Games and He's Just Not That Into You. The Hunger Games is really good and I love Katniss. I recommend it! He's Just Not That Into You, the movie (in my opinion) was really bad. The book is nothing like it!!! It's brutally honest and helps you stay in "reality," but is also motivational.

Vampire Eric or Vampire Bill? TEAM BILL! BILL, we need to talk. Please come in on a white horse already. I agree with the BHBBC, you suck. Fix that driveway JEEZ!!

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? Seriously, I'd love to do a world tour, haha. I've been lucky to visit some cool places. I'd want to go to New York, Greece, and somewhere with snowy mountains. Also, I've never seen the Grand Canyon!

Why do you blog? I blog because I really like to share things. I also love to subscribe and read blogs! It's crazy that my blog friends are from everywhere. I like hearing about what it's like from different viewpoints and places. And Lauren Elizabeth/SJ are in Austin omg.

How did you start blogging? Funny you should ask :) ACTUALLY, I became a hardcore Twilighter during the first movie in '08. I even had a twilight twitter (I'm crazy!) Anyways, I started reading these hilarious Twilight Mom tweets, and then their blogs, and they mentioned pocket Edward and... a link to Lauren's Bite! (Busy Bee Lauren) Lauren is the reason I started blogging.

Favorite color? I have to admit, pink

What is your favorite item of clothing to wear? Jackets and coats :)

Yay! Christmas is upon us...

It actually snowed in San Antonio!

Well... technically, some little flurry things were flying around for ten minutes,

but it did "snow" haha.

Here are my twelve favorite things about Christmas.

(one)

Dressing for winter.

I'm getting this coat.

It even has a hood,

which I LOVE.

Rain, snow (Texas? Yeah, right), whatever.

I live for having a hood

because I've never had one on

a coat.

I'm crazy.

(two)

Holiday Parties.

Secret Santas.

White elephants...

Tacky Christmas Sweater themed parties.

Just heard of it.

Julia would be a hit at one of these

when my sisters and I were little,

After seeing New Moon twice

After seeing it twice, I am ready to blog!

I really liked the creepy intro.

Being a bad Twilighter, I completely forgot about

the grandma scene.

Edward looks so pained. Rosalie looks... weird.
In all seriousness, I wanted to cry my eyes out during the breakup scene.That is saying a lot.
I almost let myself sob it outwhen they showed her sitting alone at the"Cullen" lunch table.Or her sitting in the window for way too long.
But...Yay, JakeLaut. Little ray of sunshine. I like you better than book Jacob.

I love love love this part...FACE PUNCH."Let's do this"All the handholding opps = genius

It was nice to see JakeLaut get angry.I was like "oh okay..." (surprised)

It's not really about having the "look" for her. It's about the depth of the character. Someone who can sing, fight, and have an inner "it" thing going on. We went in Petco to get some dog food for our happy little chihuahuas...

and came out with a 10-week-old chi-weenie!!
She was the last one left for adoption and we just could not resist.
We love puppies over here.

She looks more like a dachshund than a chihuahua.
One of her sisters was more chihuahua.
No, not her. She's got the BIG EARS!

She fits right in with our puppies,
but our poor nervous Cooper is stressed out.
He'll lighten up!

What on earth should we name her? LOL

So the Taylor Swift concert in Dallas HAPPENED!
The rumors are true!

Everyone who knows me knows that
I'm Taylor Swift's #1 fan (at least in San Antonio :)
So you can imagine...

1. Superstar Status
Really, I felt like a superstar...
because I had a floor seat! (ROW 6 are you crazy?!)
I walked all the way down to the floor and two security guards
reached for both my arms and semi- lifted me over some steps.
Total "Princess" moment... omg lol. But really.

2. We = Funniest People in the World
And by we, I mean Julia.
The 5 hour drive was ridiculous. It didn't even seem long.
I don't know, laughed so hard we cried on the way up.
Seriously, we thought we were hilarious.

3. Of course, the concert was amazing.
I have to admit, I knew about a lot (SPOILERS, I couldn't resist),
but the small things I didn't know about really made me happy.
Those ended up being my favorites.

And yes, I was singing the entire time.

4. Okay, I have to tell you something.
Some little kids rushed the stage.

1. It was killing me that I could not
be in on the True Blood Season 2 Finale!!!
You see, I just finished season 1 on DVD Friday
and am just not there yet. I saw so many True Blood
tweets and super jealous. However, I'm reading the first book
"Dead Until Dark" so I'm able to cope.

Basically...

It's so sweet that him and Anna are "finances".
Anna is a doll. Love them.

2. UM TAYLOR SWIFT.
Rocks my world.
Yall already knew that.
But still.

I was horrified at the lack of respect.

Recap: In the middle of Taylor's
acceptance speech for best female video,
this fool(Kanye) gets up and takes her mic and says "I'm sorry, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time."
...Are his record sales down or something?
I'm so mad at him for ruining her night.
Actually, I bet she's FINE and DANDY because....

3. Beyonce kicks ass.
Pardon my language.
But this woman clearly is a class act.

When it came time for Beyonce to accept HER award,
she brought Taylor Swift out for a hug and for her to have her moment.
And Taylor gave her acceptance speech.

1. I am job searching.
Yes, I graduated in May and now I'm on my
first after-college-job-hunt EVER!
Basically, I'm Alexis Bledel in this movie
(that I want to see!)

2. I don't know how to say this,
so I'll just say it.
I had to break up with LIL C.
He said all the wrong things on twitter.
It was a little heartbreaking...
(LOL)

3. As we speak, kittens are walking
all over my keyboard.
They are Julia's (sister).
She can't take them to Austin (bc her roommate is allergic).
So I'm taking care of them and noticing their
weird and funny habits.
Bruiser is OBSESSED with shoes.
Bitty bites- how do you train a cat to not bite?

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Vanishing Cabinet

(Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince)

MINDSET GOING INTO THE WHOLE THING:
I'm centering my whole week on this movie.
The previews look sooo good.
Finally, I'm in the theater and
the lights are dimming.
OMG!
I am yet to read the book, so this is my
first Half-Blood Prince
experience.
What can I say,
I love the element of surprise!

The Breakdown
Usually, the HP movies are centered around a plot
and then some mysterious subplot develops. Well, this felt like
one giant subplot. I wish there were more "OMG Harry, what is going
on with this book, lets investigate" of a plot.
Or something!
It was more like a
Half-Blood Vanishing Cabinet
than the Half-Blood Prince.

1. Where is that Harry Potter
angst that was growing
in the last few movies?

2. What happened to the
over-controlling
Cornelius Fudge?

3. What resulted from the
Death Eater attack
in the Muggle world?

4. Harry Potter looked like he
was more into the waitress
than Ginny, srsly?? NO!

5. If I saw Draco Malfoy go
into that room with the Vanishing Cabinet
one more time I think I'd question my sanity. LOL

6. "Half-Blood Prince" was dropped
after five minutes and then brought up
at the end for a sec. what?

7. And finally, where the heck is
He Who Must Not Be Named?
(Is he in that book??)

However,

1. I loved Ron & Hermione!
(LOL @ this pic)

2. There were some VERY funny parts (Ice cream scene)
3. Scaryyy- The girl who was cursed outside in the snow. That was scary!

I don't mean to get all serious here,
but it's pretty locked in of me to shed some light on mental health.

I'm going to put this out there for those who have
a brother or sister with bipolar disorder.
I know that there are self-help books out there for those
who have the disorder, but I've never heard anyone talk
about how to live with someone, and how to cope, just how difficult it is
for a sibling, and how they are most affected.

I found a good site that helps.
The best thing I can take from it is knowing that EVERY sibling
(of a bp person) goes through it and they aren't alone.
There should be more published. And a handbook should be given.
Parents should be aware of what happens in a family.
Maybe I should take that on in addition to writing
"SHE'S just not that into you."

the LA Staples Center concert was going on.
The concert that sold out in five minutes?

Ok friends! It's story time. My grandma turned 86 last Wednesday.
I love this lady. She is what I would call locked IN! ;)
When searching for a gift, I knew I wanted to get her something special.
Hmm. On my way to pick up a magazine,
there it was in the corner of my eye.

TWILIGHT, the book.

I'm just going to lay down some groundwork here; my grandma is a pretty serious reader, let me tell you people. Haha.

I knew she would read it. She didn't know, but I knew... that it would be sitting there staring her in the eyes after her television programs are over...and that once her eyes hit the page, there would be no going back. Because you cannot stop yourself from reading this book once you've started. Seriously, I dare you.

SO.

I buy Twilight and carefully place it into a gift bag that says
"OMG IT'S UR BDAY"
(which my grandma LOVES)
along with sour skittles, cheapy pink plastic shot glasses
(that say "Girls Night Out" for LOLs), a silky robe,
and some funky, yes funky, sparkly pink glasses that say 2009
and the two 00 of 2009 are the lenses.
Oh and we got her a card that sang "What a Wonderful World" when opened.
GENIUS.

BACK TO IT!

So today I get home and Julia (sister) informs me that there has been some Twilight activity in the life of Mary Lou Duke. I smile instantly, knowing that my prediction came true. Haha. Jules told me (get this) that my grandma had confessed to her that she had planned on skimming through the book and telling us that she read it and liked it.

This was a premeditated fib, people.
She was so smug, thinking that she could get away with that... haha, I can picture it in her mind. As she opened the gift she was plotting her trip to Half Priced Books...

WELL GUESS WHAT.
She never made it to Half Priced Books.
That is right.
She is halfway through the book
in just one sitting and could not wait to get home and read it.
HAHA!
The rumors are true.
Grandma Duke has turned Twilight.
Only one question left: Team Edward or Jacob?
